- 500 grams of mushrooms, chopped
- 1/2 onion, raw
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 cup of cooked quinoa
- 2/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt, pepper and thyme (optional)
Put the olive oil in a saucepan over high heat. Once the oil becomes very hot, add the mushrooms, onion, garlic, salt, pepper and thyme, and we lower the heat. Pour some water and let cook for about 10 minutes or until the mushrooms dry out.
Place the mushrooms in a big bowl and add the oats and the yeast and mix well.
Add the cooked quinoa and continue. If the mixture seems too moist, add some more oats. Place the bowl in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
Wet your hands and form the burgers. Preheat the oven to 200 °C and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
Serve with your favorite salad!
